Siblings Bakery Coming Soon to Thousand Oaks (NOW OPEN)

UPDATE: Siblings Bakery opened on January 14th

Siblings Bakery will be opening a location at 1625 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks in the former home of Jaime Cakes.

Siblings Bakery has an existing location in Ventura that makes custom birthday cakes, wedding cakes, specialty cakes and more.

This new location will continue the custom work as well as sell retail goodies at the store. Deepti, the owner, anticipates opening sometime in December. Learn more at www.siblingsbakery.com.

Ubatuba Acai Opened at the Camarillo Premium Outlets in Late August

Ubatuba Acai opened a new location at the Camarillo Premium Outlets several months ago in the former Yogurtland location. Somehow I missed this.

Ubatuba offers acai bowls, empanadas (including one with Beyond Meat) and drinks. The Thousand Oaks Ubatuba has been open since spring 2015.

Otherwise at the Outlets, gone are Los Arroyos, Smashburger and PizzaRev.

Fatburger & Buffalo's Express Opened at the Camarillo Premium Outlets on October 26th

Fatburger was founded by Lovie Yancey in the neighborhood of Exposition Park in Los Angeles in 1947. It was originally named "Mr. Fatburger" (on behalf of Yancey's boyfriend), until the "Mr." was removed by Yancey in 1952. At that time, she bought out her start-up partners and retained sole ownership of the Fatburger brand until 1990, keeping and operating the original store on Western Avenue along with the La Cienega Boulevard store (La Cienega/San Vicente).

At select Fatburger locations (including both of our Ventura County locations), you’ll find authentic buffalo-style wings from Buffalo’s Cafe, called Buffalo’s Express

Buffalo Wings are offered either bone-in or boneless, in quantities of 6, 10, 16 or 24. Wings are served with celery, carrots & your choice of bleu cheese, ranch or honey mustard.

Fatburgers come in four sizes: Medium (Original) (1/3 lb), Large (Kingburger) (1/2 lb), XXL (Double Kingburger) (1 lb) and XXXL (Triple Kingburger) (1.5 lbs).

Chef Danny's Naru Bentu Now Open at Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks

Chef Danny's Naru Bento at Janss Marketplace is now open in "soft opening" mode. Their bento boxes offer a choice of rice with 2 items, including cajun beef steak w/mushrooms, sushi, chicken, Philly steak, file mignon bites, steamed boneless beef ribs, vegetable chicken, shrimp, etc. rice bowls and other delicious sound items. Leone's Original Italian Ices Now Open in Thousand Oaks

Leone’s Original Italian Ices at 1696 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks (south side, opposite endpoint of Erbes Road) opened for business this past week.

According to their website, Greg Leone is THE Italian Ice King of California. He grew up in New York City and brought his family recipes with his family to California.

Their menu includes water ices, creme ices, organic soft serve ice cream and a variety of drinks. This sounds like a place that will be dear to my heart!

Porta Via Now Open at The Commons at Calabasas

Porta Via is now open at The Commons at Calabasas, offering contemporary California cuisine serving seasonal organic dishes. Open for lunch and dinner with pastas, sandwiches, salads and more.

Patron Mexican Bar & Grill to Open Thousand Oaks Location (NOW OPEN)

UPDATE: After long last, Patron Westlake Village opened in May 2022.

Patron Mexican Bar & Grill looks to be opening a new location at 3709 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd, which is the address of Al Mulino Italian Restaurant. I confirmed with Patron that they do plan to open this new location by sometime later this year.

Al Mulino originally opened in July 2015. Patron has locations in Newbury Park and Camarillo.

Parma Pizzeria Napoletana to Open Agoura Hills Location in 2021 (UPDATE: Early 2022)

UPDATE: Well finally an update! Today, 12/8/21, 15 months after the initial announcement, Parma has announced it has begun building out the location for an early 2022 opening.

Parma Pizzeria Napoletana announced today that it will be opening a 2nd location next year at 5649 Kanan Road, in the Agoura Meadows Shopping Center (Von’s, Cronies, The Latigo Kid, CVS plaza, cross street T.O. Blvd.), in the former home of Carol Solomon's Gallery of Gifts & Framing (which moved to a new location in Los Angeles). Parma opened its first location at 796 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard in late January 2017.
