Saddened to get word earlier this week that Marmalade Cafe at The Commons at Calabasas will serve its last meal on Sunday, August 2nd. The popular eatery has operated at The Commons since 1998.
Locations in Westlake Village, Malibu, Sherman Oaks, and El Segundo remain open. www.marmaladecafe.com
Novo Cafe at The Shoppes at Westlake Village closed its doors on June 29th. They opened this location in June 2019. Their original Burbank/Toluca Lake location remains open.

Onyx Bistro announced today that it will not be renewing its lease at 2390 Las Posas Road in Camarillo and that its last day of business will be Saturday, May 30th. The owners announced they will be launching Olive & Quince Catering in July.
Onyx opened in January 2022.
The Subway at the Westlake Commons (Village Glen between Townsgate and Agoura Road) has permanently closed.

Carl's Jr. in the Ralph's plaza at 5709 Kanan Road in Agoura Hills (cross street T.O. Blvd) has closed its doors after decades at this location.

El Sancho Loco Cantina and El Sanchito in Westlake Village announced today that they have closed their doors after 2 1/2 years at this location in the North Ranch Shopping Plaza.
However, Ell Sancho Loco Taqueria is still open for business at their first location on Michael Drive in Newbury Park. Learn more at elsancholocotaqueria.com
Selvin's Restaurant & Lounge at the Palm Garden Hotel in Newbury Park made the official announcement that today, December 31, 2025, is the last day it will be open. The location will be re-opening at some point early next year as Sette Sorelle ("Seven Sisters") under the ownership/management of the owner of Nonna Westlake Village.
Selvin's opened its doors in June 2024. It was this same time frame in 2019 that the prior occupant of this space, Brendan's Irish Pub, closed its doors.
Meanwhile, during the transition, The Palm Garden has partnered with the nearby Mikey’s Restaurant to offer complimentary breakfast for guests of the hotel. Mikey's will turn two years old next month, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. See their menu and upcoming events at mikeysrestaurants.com
Oaks Local Craft Kitchen & Bar at 1345 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks is now closed, but is under new ownership and will be reopening soon. The question is, will it be a new concept and name...stay tuned. Oaks Local premiered in October 2024 in the former Tilted Kilt.
Hot Motha Clucker at 1610 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks has closed its doors. It opened just under 2 1/2 years ago in the spot that previously was occupied by The Fisherman's Wife, 101 BBQ Hut, and Burgerim.
