Newbury Park Steelers Football and Cheer is for kids ages 6 to 14, including the following age divisions:

  • Mighty Mite (ages 6-8)

  • Bantam (ages 8-10)

  • Junior (ages 11-13)

  • Senior (ages 12-14)

The Steelers are a member of the Gold Coast Youth Football League.

Open Gym at Conejo Recreation & Park District Facilities

The Conejo Recreation & Park District has several facilities offering not only paid programs and classes but free access to indoor gymnasium facilities during designated hours.

The Dos Vientos Community Center at 4801 Borchard Road, Newbury Park also offers free open gym access during designated time frames. They indicate that open basketball times are for those 16 years and older to play basketball; no team practices are allowed during open gym times. Open badminton is also offered on some nights. i9 Youth Sports in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Woodland Hills

i9 Sports runs recreational teams for youth (ages 3-14) soccer, cheerleading, basketball, T-ball and flag football league that covers Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and Woodland Hills. i9 is committed to safety, organization and sportsmanship with the highest degree of customer service and professionalism. Oxnard Police Activities League (PAL) is a citywide, after-school crime prevention program that provides outreach to local youth, ages 4 to 18, to build positive relationships between youth, police officers and the community. PAL's mission is to divert youth away from gangs and other criminal activity by providing a wide variety of positive alternatives under the care and supervision of trained police officers, recreation staff and community volunteers. Membership at PAL is FREE and of all of PAL's programs are offered at low or no cost to participants.

Conejo Youth Basketball Association

Conejo Youth Basketball Association (CYBA) is a non-profit organization located in Thousand Oaks serving kids in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village area.

About 1,000 boys and girls in 1st through 8th grades play in the CYBA intramural winter league (December thru March). There are over 100 teams in eight divisions. In addition, there are travel teams made up of more skilled players that compete against other local communities in the Ventura County Youth Basketball Conference (VCYBC).

CYBA offers winter, spring and blacktop leagues.
