Golf N' Stuff Ventura

For hours of amusement check out Golf N' Stuff off the 101 freeway in eastern Ventura, just 20 miles west of Newbury Park. Golf N' Stuff features two 18-hole miniature golf courses, Indy style race cars (go-karts), bumper boats, bumper cars and laser tag (offered at designated time frames) and a large arcade. You must be 4' 8" tall to drive the go-karts and at least 4' tall to drive the bumper boats/cars, so make sure to wear heels if you're really short.

Each activity is priced separately. Mini golf as of December 2025 costs $18.00. You can also purchase a 2 hour unlimited use wristband for $22.00 (as of December 2025) and try everything.

Golf N' Stuff is open 365 days per year (366 on leap years)! Yes, it is even open Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day!

There is also a snack bar that serves an assortment of items, like mini pizzas, hot dogs and pretzels. Enough to provide plenty of carbs for your activities.

Marina Park in Ventura

Marina Park is located at 2950 Pierpont Boulevard in Ventura (near the intersection of Pierpont and Coral Street). It is a 15 acre park that has over a third of a mile of oceanfront adjacent to Ventura Harbor, providing plenty of beachfront, flat sand to play in.

There is also a kids play area, including a tot lot and a larger play structure with swings, see-saw, climbing nets, and more. There is also a water taxi and a fishing dock. The popular San Salvador at Marina Park.

The “San Salvador” at Marina Park used to be popular with its zip line, but the zip line was removed in 2016 due to safety reasons.

Yarrow Family YMCA in Westlake Village opened to the public in late April 2019 at 31105 Thousand Oaks Boulevard, at Westlake Village Community Park. This brand new 60,000 sq ft facility features a fitness center, eight lane indoor lap pool, warm water pool, gym, group exercise classes, and more. The Kids’ Zone is massive. 'ololkoy Beach Park (Oxnard Beach Park)

The ‘ololkoy Beach Park* (formerly Oxnard Beach Park) is located at 1601 South Harbor Boulevard, south of Wooley Road in Oxnard.  The park has a large pirate-themed play area. There is a larger structure for 5 to 12 year olds and a smaller one for younger kids.

*Renamed after the Chumash word for dolphin in 2023.

This park is just a short walk to the beach, where you and the kids can spend time digging holes, building sand castles and running from the waves. The park is also in close vicinity to Channel Islands Harbor

The park has a large grassy area, restrooms, BBQ grills, bike paths, etc.  There is a parking fee at this park; just $1/hour or $5/day.

Open Gym at Conejo Recreation & Park District Facilities

The Conejo Recreation & Park District has several facilities offering not only paid programs and classes but free access to indoor gymnasium facilities during designated hours.

The Thousand Oaks Community Center offers free "open gym" times throughout the month, with access to indoor basketball, volleyball, badminton and pickleball. Located at 2525 N. Camarillo Public Library

The Camarillo Public Library is located at 4101 Las Posas Road. This is a beautiful, nearly 66,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility that opened in March 2007.

The library is a two-story building with a bookstore, adult literacy facility, community room (capacity of 130 to 200), conference room, technology lab and study rooms.

The library's collection is well over 200,000 items, including books, DVDs, music CDs, and audio books on CD and MP3. Your library card gives you access to the Camarillo Digital Library with hundreds of eBooks and Audio Books available on the library's website. The eBooks can be read in numerous formats, including computers, iPhones, iPads, Android devices, etc. The library contains the Russell Fischer Business Collection and the Ventura County Genealogical Society collection

The kids section is quite large, with a cool pirate-themed kids area.

The library is open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm and Friday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.(as of December 2024).

The Camarillo Library is an independently run city library that is not part of the Ventura County Library System. However, you can use your Camarillo Public Library card to borrow titles from the Moorpark City Library as well as other partner libraries.

Ambush Paintball and Airsoft Park in Moorpark

Ambush Paintball and Airsoft Park opened in April 2013 at 8643 Shekell Road in Moorpark, off of Grimes Canyon Road. There is a turfed arena field and six scenario fields. Full rental gear available. Open for walk-in play, private parties, corporate teambuilding events and birthday parties. Great for beginners through seasoned veterans. Airsoft currently available on Sundays.

The Ambush property used to be the 200+ acre Egg City, which at its peak housed 3.5 million chickens that laid 2 million eggs a day! Egg City closed in 1996 and the structures on the site were burned down in a fire in 2006.

Coach Patty’s School of Gymnastics is located near Old Town Camarillo at 300 S. Lewis Road, Suite E.  The school has programs for recreational artistic gymnastics, preschool gymnastics, competitive team gymnastics for boys and girls, tumbling & trampoline programs for both children and adults.

The facility is over 16,000 sq ft and is loaded with state of the art equipment, including 60’ Tumble Trak, trampolines, double Mini Trampoline, high bars, balance beams spring floors, vault systems and a 84 foot fiberglass rod floor for power tumbling and a ring tower.  Just for kids preschool equipment.
