Beautiful Rainbow in the Skies of the Conejo Valley on Saturday, January 23, 2021

At the end of a day of off and on rains, we were blessed with this beautiful rainbow in Thousand Oaks today. I was driving down Moorpark Road near Janss Marketplace, stopped at a stoplight, when I noticed this surprise in the sky. So I pulled into the Janss parking lot to capture the colors. A great way to end an otherwise cloudy day.

Rainy Week Ends in Colorful Ending in the Conejo Valley This Good Friday 2020

This past 3rd week of Ventura County “Stay Well at Home” orders was a very wet one, with six straight days of measurable rain. The week ended on Good Friday with clouds giving way to blue skies and this colorful rainbow signaling something positive is in store for us .

Rainbow Over the Conejo Grade the Morning of Wednesday, March 11, 2020

This was a rare morning rainbow seen (from my vantage point) on the Conejo Grade. It was quite a long duration rainbow, appearing for at least 10 mesmerizing minutes. A reminder of the beauty in this world at a time when current events give cause for concern.

Beautiful Rainbow Brightens This 1st Day of August 2017 in the Conejo Valley

It was cloudy and relatively cool this morning and then we saw hot and humid monsoonal weather the rest of the day, this first day of August 2017 in the Conejo Valley.

The temperatures gradually cooled as the clouds built up again in the late afternoon to early evening, when we were greeted by this beautiful rainbow around 7pm tonight.

2016 Ends With a Beautiful Double Rainbow in the Conejo Valley and Surrounding Areas

As soon as I stepped outside just after 4pm today, I noticed the sun shining amid the clouds and I uttered out loud, "This is rainbow weather!" 

Sure enough, I was right. We drove a block and noticed the beautiful, massive rainbow in Thousand Oaks, but we missed the double rainbow that wowed local residents after an entire day of cloud cover, cold and rain.
