The City of Oxnard presents its 3rd Annual Fall Festival at Plaza Park on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event will include live entertainment, carnival games, pumpkin decorating, food vendors and more. Free admission. www.oxnardrecevents.com/fall-festival.html
Guests of all ages are invited to celebrate Día de los Muertos at the Santa Paula Art Museum and Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery on Saturday, November 2, 2024 (hours and activities vary by location). Admission is free. This free, family-friendly community celebration offers traditional arts and craft-making activities, mariachi music, Aztec and Folklórico dancers, face painting, altar installations, and more. Día de los Muertos attire is encouraged!
Visitors can begin at either location and proceed to the next. Pick up a Día de los Muertos passport at either site, collect a stamp at both locations, and return it to Santa Paula Cemetery to be entered into a free raffle prize drawing. Día de los Muertos activities from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Families are invited to drop in the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center to make their own clay skulls, candles, calavera drawings, and nichos. Guests will also enjoy special Día de los Muertos art exhibitions by artists Haya Cuzick, John Talevich, and Alek Talevich.

In honor of Día de los Muertos, Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery will celebrate with a day of festivities for family and friends. Build an ofrenda on a loved one’s grave or contribute to a community altar. Activities will include Aztec and Folklórico dancers, Mariachi music, face painting, sugar skull decorating, crafts, vendors, and more. Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. with the blessing of graves to follow by Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
On Saturday, October 26th, The Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association will present “Halloween Haunt in the Park.” The kid-friendly thrills occur all evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard. Event will feature Trick-or-Treat Village, with booths created by local organizations, bounce houses, face painting, crafts, games, music and more. Costume contest starts at 5:30pm.

The Camarillo Police Department announces its second annual Trunk or Treat event for Halloween at the Camarillo Police Station. This year’s event will be held on Monday, 10/28/2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Several community partners will adorn their cars in Halloween decorations and pass out candy to kids as they walk by. This is a free, family friendly event that is appropriate for all ages.
First responders will be present to hand out candy and stickers. There will be several police resources and vehicles on display including an armored vehicle, police car, police motorcycle, sheriff’s K9, sheriff’s off-road vehicle, an ambulance and a Ventura County Fire Engine.
Downtown Ventura’s Costume Contest & Trick-or-Treating is planned for Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Main Street in Downtown Ventura. Free event to include a costume contest (with prizes) at 3pm on the Main Street Stage followed by trick-or-treating at downtown businesses on Main Street starting at 4pm.

The 43rd Annual Dia De Los Muertos festival will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10am to 5pm at the Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, Memorial Park and Crematory, 2052 Howard Road in Camarillo.

Wear red, white & blue or your military uniform and join the Stagecoach Inn Museum for Veterans Day on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Docents will honor some of our earliest Conejo Valley pioneers who served. Their service spans the years from the Civil War to the present. Pictures, uniforms, medals, and other regalia will be featured.
Enjoy patriotic music while touring the beautiful museum and grounds, get your picture taken in front of a 10’ by 14’ American flag loaned for this special day of remembrance by volunteer and veteran, Darrell Jones. Children can make crafts, pan for gold, join in a fall critter hunt, and learn the importance of Veterans Day.

The Christ the King Pumpkin Patch is back in 2024, with pumpkins for sale from October 11 (TBA) to 31 and one day FREE Pumpkin Festival event on October 26th.
Open: October 11 to October 31, Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 7 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 7 pm. October 31 from 9 am to 4 pm.
