t & g's Italian Beef and Dogs is in soft opening mode at The Village at Dos Vientos, 370 Via Las Brisas in Newbury Park. Italian beef, dogs, salads, pastas, desserts, and more from a Chicago Italian family that has been in business since 1963. Really fun looking family place. No website or social media yet - they’re working on it - but they are in soft opening mode from 10:30am to 9pm.

The previous occupant of this space was Sushi 2 Vientos in November 2023 and closed in the August 2024 time frame. Prior to that, Yama San closed in late 2022.

The Yard Bar & Grill opened in late January at 328 E. Main Street in the heart of Downtown Ventura. Cork & Batter Roadhouse recently opened at 1747 Simi Town Center Way in Simi Valley, just east of the Town Center. Cork & Batter serves Texas-style BBQ, with items such as slow-smoked brisket, St. Louis ribs, Philly Cheesesteak Brisket Sliders and more.
