Signs of progress at Seabutter Sushi, to be opening sometime this winter at The Promenade at Westlake. "Fresh sashimi and contemporary sushi in an elegant yet casual setting." Other locations in Beverly Hills and Laguna Beach. seabuttersushi.com
Pieology progress at Janss Marketplace - still "coming soon" but the official sign is up and they are hiring at akashjobs.live/hiring. Akash is a restaurant management company based in Pomona. New location is a 5 minute walk from a previous Pieology location that operated from Aug 2013 to Jul 2018. There was also a Westlake Village Pieology from Feb 2015 to Jul 2018. Pieology offers "create your own" pizza with four crusts and over 40 sauces and toppings. www.pieology.com
Mirchi Indian Cuisine "comming" soon according to this sign at the Smart & Final Extra Plaza in Newbury Park. It will be located in the former Radio Shack. Looking forward to an electrifying meal there.
UPDATE 6/8/24: Buster’s OG announced on its Instagram page that they are now open in “soft opening” mode.
Got the heads up from Brianna H via the CVG Facebook Page that Buster's OG BBQ & Grill is coming soon to the former Grabbagreen location in the Skyline Plaza in Thousand Oaks. Buster's opened its Ventura location last year. www.bustersogbbq.com

On Tuesday, the owner of 101 BBQ Hut announced via Facebook that he will be opening a new location at The Shoppes at Westlake Village in the former home of Hook Burger. Stay tuned.
101 BBQ Hut was previously located at 1610 E. T.O. Blvd from January 2020 to July 2021 in the space now occupied by The Fisherman’s Wife.
We have a bit of “musical restaurants” going on it seems but hey, it’s all good.
UPDATE: Jügo Organic Eatery & Wellness Bar will be opening its doors in soft opening mode this coming Tuesday, May 16th in the Oakbrook Plaza in Thousand Oaks, 1772 Avenida De Los Arboles, Suite I (between Subway and Supercuts). www.jugoorganic.com

Thank you Michael M for sending over this photo of Jügo Organic Eatery & Wellness Bar, which will be opening in the spring of 2023 at the Oakbrook Plaza in Thousand Oaks, 1772 Avenida De Los Arboles, Suite I (between Subway and Supercuts). The photo shows what appears to be an acai bowl and organic juices. No other info at this point, so stay tuned.
The Grill on the Alley at The Promenade at Westlake in Thousand Oaks has confirmed that it will be closing its doors at close of business on Saturday, October 29th. The Grill has served the Conejo Valley since 2008. Its Beverly Hills location remains open. www.thegrillonthealley.com Sad to hear about this as from time to time we had nice memories here, including our son’s high school graduation dinner.
Heard but unconfirmed to be the future occupant of the space will be Red O "Taste of Mexico" (locations currently in Newport Beach, La Jolla, Santa Monica). www.redorestaurant.com

Vegan eatery Crossroads Kitchen at The Commons at Calabasas is working hard to open soon...no promises but I've heard it could be as soon as in a couple weeks. The signs are up and they are currently hiring. You'll find things like Philly Cheesesteak, Sicilian Supreme Pizza and Italian Sausage Sandwich on their menu, none of which contain animal products. High Sweet Creamery is coming soon (though I don’t know how soon) to 213 E. High Street in Moorpark (corner of High and Bard Streets). They will be offering my own preferred four food groups - ice cream, candy, pastries and coffee.
