UPDATE: Hikari Sushi Westlake Village is now open as of 10/6/22. See their menu at www.ushikarisushi.com. I count 82 rolls on their menu.

There seems to be some excitement about the opening of the Crumbl Cookies store at The Shoppes at Westlake Village, based on the number of queries we’ve received. We’ve been told that July 15th is the anticipated opening date at 30770 Russell Ranch Road, steps away from the Tifa Chocolate and Gelato. A very sweet place to visit. shoppesatwestlakevillage.com
We’ve also heard that the new Crumbl Cookies at 365 W. Esplanade Drive, Suite B in Oxnard will be opening today, July 1st. That would be today. Open 8am to 10pm Mon-Thurs and 8am to midnight Fri-Sat. Closed on Sundays. crumblcookies.com

UPDATE 10/29/22: Sign is up indicating the name of the new eatery will be Mirchi Indian Cuisine. “Comming Soon” according to the sign.
6/16/22: Denise B noticed some activity brewing in the old Radio Shack in the Smart & Final Center in Newbury Park last occupied in January 2017. She used her investigative skills to snap a photo of some of the construction plans, which would indicate Indian eatery Lal Mirch appears to be building it out. Stay tuned for updates.

Finney's Crafthouse is moving right along with construction of a new location in The Promenade section of the Camarillo Premium Outlets, near Cracker Barrel.. Finney's is a local success story. They opened their first location in Westlake Village in September 2016 and have expanded to locations in Santa Barbara, Ventura, SLO, Porter Ranch and Burbank, serving dozens of craft beers on tap, craft cocktails, gourmet burgers, flatbread pizzas, specialty salads and more. www.finneyscrafthouse.com
UPDATE 7/21/22: Luau Grill indicates it will be opening its doors on Monday, July 25th.
Luau Grill Hawaiian Grill & Poke will be the new occupant in the space formerly occupied by Hummus Bistro, Burgerim and Starbucks in the Ventu Park Shopping Center, 587 N Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park. No information on timing but check their website at www.luaugrill.com to explore their menu and check for updates.

Chef Alex Castillo, former chef at 2088 Bistro in Camarillo, is opening his own place - Latitude 34 Restaurant & Bar, this July at the Camarillo Premium Outlets. They took over the spaces in the Promenade section of the Outlets formerly occupied by Pizza Rev and Smashburger. The space will seat 250 guests, with a large outdoor space and nice bar.
Latitude 34 will offer casual fine dining, unique appetizers, healthy salads, fresh fish and steaks and California fusion (Latin, Mediterranean, Asian).

The Cliffdiver Restaurant & Beach Bar is now open in Thousand Oaks at 720 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd (formerly home of Himalaya Restaurant) and is taking reservations at www.thecliffdiver.com.
