10/14/18 Update: Sign is up indicating a November opening date.
Signs at the new Julio's Agave Grill are up and this new eatery at the Westlake Commons at Agoura Road and Village Glen appears to be opening at some point soon - apparently October. The owner of Cisco's Westlake (which closed its doors in February) selected the former Casa Escobar location (which closed in September 2016) for this new Mexican eatery.
Update 8/23/18: The Raspado House is now open.
Posted 4/16/18: The Raspado House is "coming soon" to 540 N. Moorpark Road, the former home of The Healthy Place smoothies.
What is The Raspado House? There's no website so I went to their Facebook page, which says absolutely nothing other than "smoothie & juice bar in Moorpark." Um, ok. So how about a look at Yelp.
Yelp did help. The business indicates they serve shave ice, real fresh fruit smoothies, fresh fruit bowls, aguas frescas, snacks and more.
Sounds pretty good. But The Raspado House folks, listen up. If you want people to visit you, it's a good idea to explain what you serve. And the beauty of it in this day and age is that you can do it for free via social media if you so choose.
Burgerim opened its newest Ventura County location in the Main Court of the Camarillo Premium Outlets on July 23rd.
Burgerim means "many burgers" in Hebrew. The eatery serves 2.8 ounce burgers made to order individually, in duos or in trios. Your choices include 3 types of buns, 11 patties (beef, dry aged beef, Wagyu beef, Merguez (spicy beef), turkey, lamb, chicken, salmon, veggie, Spanish beef and falafel and a variety of sauces and toppings.

It was a sad day in June when the Westlake Village Baskin Robbins on Agoura Road closed but a new Baskins Robbins opened July 25th in the Skyline Plaza next to Grabbagreen at 2839 Thousand Oaks Boulevard, just two miles away.
According to the San Fernando Valley Business Journal, this was Baskin Robbins' 8,000th store and will celebrate at is grand opening on August 25th with $1.50 scoop deals.

Tarantula Hill Brewing Company will be coming to 244 East Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks sometime in the early 2019 time frame (anticipated at this point).
This 21,440 sq ft freestanding building is the former home of Plummers Furniture.
Mike Richmond has been named "Brewmaster" of Tarantula Hill Brewing Company, having spent 10 years at Stone Brewing in San Diego. Mike was born in raised in Newbury Park and graduated from Newbury Park High School.

Pink's Hot Dogs is opening in The Promenade section of the Camarillo Premium Outlets in the June 2018 time frame. It will be located between Wilson's Leather and Los Arroyos Mexican Restaurant.

Shout out to Amelia Schad for pointing out that SpireWorks Modern Döner will be opening soon in the former home of Big Fish Poke (and prior to that, Ice Cream Lab) at 2725 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village (Westlake Plaza), next to Le Pain Quotidien.
