Luna Grill and General Chow Eateries to Open at The Collection at RiverPark in 2016

Update Oct 2019: General Chow is now closed. Ouch, that didn’t last long.

The Collection at RiverPark recently announced that Luna Grill and General Chow will be coming to the retail center next year.

Luna Grill offers Near East and Mediterranean cuisine, including juicy and tender kabobs served with fluffy Basmati rice and grilled tomato, gyros and falafel wraps and more. Luna Grill is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016.

General Chow is a modern Chinese restaurant with full bar and a menu that includes dumplings, soup, noodles, fresh seafood, and Szechwan spicy food. General Chow is the newest concept by restauranteur, Michael Kwan, who currently owns and operates 21 restaurants with eight different concepts in the Southern California area. General Chow is scheduled to open in the fall of 2016. 

Mama's Hummus Announces It Will Be Opening a Camarillo Location

UPDATE: Mama's Hummus Camarillo opened for business today, Sunday, August 9th.

Mama's Hummus announced yesterday that it will be opening a 2nd Ventura County location soon. Its original location in Newbury Park opened February 20, 2014, bringing local residents delicous, made from scratch Mediterranean food, including falafel, hummus, kababs and more. The new location will be at the former home of Tacone Flavor Grill at 5021 Verdugo Way, Suite C108 in Camarillo. iThai Restaurant Coming Soon to Former Home of Zzyzx Cafe in Camarillo

There's a sign up at the former home of Zzyzx Cafe at 33 N. Lewis Road in Camarillo indicated iThai Restaurant will be opening soon. No other information at this point so stay tuned.

Pitfire Artisan Pizza Slated to Open on August 2nd at Westlake Plaza in Westlake Village

Update 7/18/15: Pitfire announces it is opening in Westlake Village on Sunday, August 2nd. www.pitfirepizza.com/westlake-village  Additionally, 100% of proceeds on August 2nd will be donated to affordable housing charity Many Mansions. 

Pitfire Pizza is on the cusp of opening at the Westlake Plaza, 980 South Westlake Boulevard, Pitfire serves rustic, fire singed pizzas and handcrafted cuisine from simple, fresh ingredients. Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill Anticipated to Open This July at Janss Marketplace

Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill opened its new location at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks on Monday, July 27th.  805.371.7978.

Beer and wine available at this location.

Sharky's is located at the former home of Qdoba, which closed its doors in June 2013. This space is adjacent to the interactive fountain and Buca di Beppo, and across the parking lot from Hooters.

Sabra Fish Grill is Now Open at The Collection at RiverPark in Oxnard

Original Post: 4/24/14: Yet another new restaurant is coming to The Collection at RiverPark! Sabra Fish Grill. Sabra will offer a wide selection of fresh fish, prepared fast at affordable prices and superb quality. Specific opening date not known yet but anticipated for sometime in 2014 now 2015.

Sabra will join Famous Dave's, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Gandolfo's NY Deli, Gen Korean BBQ House, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana and Yard House. Additional eateries to open at The Collection in 2014 include Larsen's Grill, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, Maria's Pronto, Toby Keith's Bar & Grill* and Ben & Jerry's.

*Toby Keith's closed in the spring of 2015. It had opened on May 2014.

Al Mulino Eatalian Bakery & Bar Opening Soon in Thousand Oaks

Al Mulino Eatalian Bakery & Bar is anticipated to open next week (UPDATE: Doors are open today, Friday, July 24th) in the Paseo Marketplace at 3709 East Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks (in the former home of Bellavino Wine Bar).

The restaurant is owned by a group of friends, all from Italy, who have moved to the United States in recent years. The decided to open a restaurant that specialized in authentic Italian cuisine, including bakery items. freshly made pasta, fresh baked bread, Naples style pizza, gelato and other specialties.

The windmill, "mulino" in Italian,  grounds the grain into flour, the essential ingredient of bread, pasta and pizza.

Al Mulino will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will have broad selection of freshly made pastries and cakes as well as authentic Italian gelato.

Los Agaves de Luna Restaurant Now Open at The Shoppes at Westlake

Los Agaves de Luna Restaurant is now open at The Shoppes at Westlake. It is a family-owned and operated Mexican restaurant that originated in Santa Barbara in 2008 that has locations in Santa Barbara (two of them), Goleta and now Westlake Village. Dickey's Barbecue Pit Westlake Village Opened Its Doors on Saturday, July 25th

Dickey's Barbecue Pit Westlake Village announced it opened its doors on Saturday, July 25th. Location is the North Ranch Mall, 3825 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Westlake Village, in between Haagen Dazs and Western Bagel.

Dickey's is Texas based barbecue eatery that serves up beef brisket, pulled pork, ham, polish sausage, turkey breast and chicken, with an extensive array of home-style sides from jalapeño beans to macaroni and cheese. Buttery rolls are served with every meal along with  free ice cream and dill pickles. They also have a Kids Eat Free deal on Sundays.
