Schatzi Smoothies is opening on January 7, 2023 at the Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills. Schatzi, located a few doors down from Carrara Pastries, will offer smoothies, juice, cookies and coffee. For updates, visit schatzijuice.com.
That didn’t last long. They’re now closed.
Currying Flavors opened recently in the food court at The Oaks mall, offering fast casual Indian cuisine. Currying Flavors previously operated from August 2019 to November 2020 on Canwood Street in Agoura Hills. Worth a try if you are at The Oaks. No website at this time.

Several folks have asked about what's going on at the old Citibank branch building in the Westlake Plaza at the corner of Westlake Boulevard and Agoura Road (974 South Westlake Blvd.). The new place is called Crawford's Social - Cocktails/Lounge/Eatery. "West coast influenced shareable American cuisine." Once more information is available, we’ll provide an update. Pieology Pizzeria opened its doors on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Janss Marketplace. Make your own pizza, with crusts that include regular, thick, gluten-free and cauliflower. Open at 9:30am daily until 11pm Sun-Thu, midnight Fri/Sat.

Philz Coffee Thousand Oaks opened on November 10th. Another local Philz Coffee is opening soon at The Summit at Calabasas, 26787 Agoura Road (at Lost Hills Road).
Looks like La Cereza Cafe & Bakery is building out a location at 280 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Suite A in Thousand Oaks, just east of Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. No other details at this point. Stay tuned.
Cereza…what is it? Well, it’s Spanish for cherry.
Signs of progress at Seabutter Sushi, to be opening sometime this winter at The Promenade at Westlake. "Fresh sashimi and contemporary sushi in an elegant yet casual setting." Other locations in Beverly Hills and Laguna Beach. seabuttersushi.com
Pieology progress at Janss Marketplace - still "coming soon" but the official sign is up and they are hiring at akashjobs.live/hiring. Akash is a restaurant management company based in Pomona. New location is a 5 minute walk from a previous Pieology location that operated from Aug 2013 to Jul 2018. There was also a Westlake Village Pieology from Feb 2015 to Jul 2018. Pieology offers "create your own" pizza with four crusts and over 40 sauces and toppings. www.pieology.com
Mirchi Indian Cuisine "comming" soon according to this sign at the Smart & Final Extra Plaza in Newbury Park. It will be located in the former Radio Shack. Looking forward to an electrifying meal there.
