Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara

Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara is a huge park that sandwiches East Cabrillo Boulevard.  On the ocean side of Cabrillo the park consists of a palm-lined, narrow strip of park adjacent to East Beach with an oceanfront bike path and walkway from Stearns Wharf to East Beach.  This side of the park is host to Sunday/holiday arts and crafts shows.  The 14,600 square foot Skater's Point skate park is also located on this side of the park.

On the other side of Cabrillo is a huge 10 acre parcel that features fountains, creeks, a lagoon, carousel, snack bar and a shipwreck playground modeled after an ocean schooner from the turn of the century.

The park is walking distance to Stearns Wharf, the beach, bike rentals, State Street, etc.

From 1999 to 2017, the park was home to a vintage 1916 40 foot in diamater carousel, The carousel was relocated to Fort Hood, Oregon to a museum.

Reef Volleyball Club is a member of the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) whose governing body is USA Volleyball. This program is for girls 18 years of age and younger. The purpose of the program is to provide the opportunity for athletes to receive high quality instruction in volleyball skill development and strategy at all ability levels. DojoBoom Extreme Air Sports opened at Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks on November 3, 2017. 

Offering over 50,000 sq. feet of extreme attractions, including trampolines all over the place, launching decks, Ninja Obstacle Course, Extreme Dodgeball, AirDunk, SlackLine, Trapeze, Aerial Silks, a huge climbing wall, foam pits and more.

Other features include KidJump 9-10am every day for kids 6 and under, with parents, Family Night on Monday nights from 6-9pm ($55 for an hour for entire immediate family), College Night on Tuesday nights from 6-9pm and others. Birthday party packages available. 

Pricing (as of November 2017) starts at $17 per hour for ages 7 and up ($13 for ages 6 and under). Hours are: 9am to 10am Mon-Sat KidJump (6 and under only), 10am to 9pm Mon-Sat (Open Jump), 9pm to Midnight Club Night (ages 15+) and Sundays 11am to 7pm. Must purchase and wear special grip socks ($3 - and they have a number of designs).

Kids Club at The Promenade at Westlake

The Kids Club at The Promenade at Westlake takes place on Thursdays from 6-7pm. Free entertainment for kids 10 and under.

10/5: Reptacular Reptiles - Learn about some fascinating creatures when Reptacular brings their menagerie of reptiles for a visit! If you thought you knew everything about snakes and lizards, think again! This is a wonderful assortment of cold-blooded creatures that everyone will get to see up close and even touch.

10/12: Galactic Master - Meet our legendary Jedi Master! He will share stories of how he became the chosen one and teach our young Jedis the ways of the Force. Children may dress up as their favorite Galactic Knights and Princesses and take pictures with the Jedi after the show.

10/31: Halloween Event Featuring Franklin Haynes (special 5:30-7:30pm event) - Featuring the unique talents of Franklin Haynes, whose handcrafted marionettes and Halloween-themed show will have children enthralled. Plus a pumpkin patch, face painting, and more! (final Kids Club event until next spring)

The Kids' Activities section of Conejo Valley Guide has primarily been focused on activities at venues throughout the Conejo Valley and Greater Ventura County over the last 10 years. Oxnard Beach Park

The Oxnard Beach Park is located on South Harbor Boulevard, South of Wooley Road and next to the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel and Resort in Oxnard.  The park has an awesome, large pirate-themed play area. There is a larger structure for 5 to 12 year olds and a smaller one for younger kids.

This park is just a short walk to the beach, where you and the kids can spend time digging holes, building sand castles and running from the waves. The park is also in close vicinity to Channel Islands Harbor

The park has a large grassy area, restrooms, BBQ grills, bike paths, etc.  There is a parking fee at this park; just $1/hour or $5/day.
