The City of Camarillo Public Library is located at 4101 Las Posas Road and is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 9 pm and Friday through Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. Sat 3/31 1-4PM Author Talk with Paul Bishop
The Life and Times of Rooster Cogburn - screening of the film True Grit: hosted by Paul Bishop & Bob Wilson. Paul will discuss the background to the film and his book 52 Weeks, 52 Western Novels. Q&A to follow.
Novelist, screenwriter, and television personality, Paul Bishop spent 35 years with the Los Angeles Police Department where he was twice honored as Detective of the Year. His fifteen novels include five in his LAPD Homicide Detective Fey Croaker series. His latest novel, Lie Catchers, begins a new series featuring top LAPD interrogators Ray Pagan and “Calamity Jane” Randall.
His screening writing credits include Diagnosis Murder (1993), Unsolved History (2002) and Take the Money & Run (2011).
Sunday, 4/29 2-3PM - Author Talk and Musical Performance with Jim LaDiana/ Jim LaDiana, veteran studio musician and musical journalist, will discuss his book Strings of Memories. It tells the hidden story of the Golden Age of Hollywood recording studio guitarists. Session will include a jazz guitar musical performance.

Presented by Ventura County Credit Union. Join us for an interactive, engaging, and informative workshop on “Teens and Money.” We’ll cover banking basics, credit, and preparing for financial independence. Perfect for 15- to 19-year olds.
