2019 Ride of Silence in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday, May 15th

Residents are encouraged to participate in the annual Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks, 2200 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Participants will begin gathering at 5:45 PM, the pre-ride program will begin at 6 PM; official ride commences at 6:30 PM with police escort over the short 10 mile ride.

The Ride of Silence is a worldwide event to honor bicyclists killed by motorists on public roads, promote sharing the road, and provide awareness of bicycling safety.

The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road, and remain silent during the ride. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adult.
