Looking for fresh produce in Ventura County? "Lettuce" help you! There are over 15 farmers' markets in and around Ventura County throughout each week, not to mention another dozen or so stores and Community Supported Agriculture programs that sell organic produce.

LOCAL STORES WITH FRESH PRODUCE:
Underwood Family Farms Market in Moorpark (3370 Sunset Valley Road) has farm fresh fruits and vegetables as well as pickled produce, honey, nuts, juices, dried beans, farm fresh eggs and fresh cut flowers. Moorpark location is usually closed from late December through February. Open 9am to 6pm March to November and weekends in December (5pm after DST). Call 805.529.3690.
Underwood Family Farms Market in Somis (5696 E. Los Angeles Avenue) is open every day year-round 9am to 6pm (5pm after DST) with the exception of some holidays. Call 805.386.4660.
McGrath Family Farm in Camarillo (505 North Wood Road) is open March through December 9am to pm and offers organic fruits, flowers and vegetables. Freeway convenient off the Central Avenue offramp of the 101. Call 805.983.0333.
Sprouts Farmers Market (600 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks) is at the corner of Lynn/Hillcrest adjacent to the Oaks Mall. This grocery store sells local farm fresh produce as well as a full range of other natural grocery items as well as a deli, baked goods, etc. Hours 7am to 10pm. Call 805.716.4373.
Another Sprouts Farmers Market is located at 1012 S. Westlake Boulevard, Westlake Village (at Agoura Road). 805.917.4200
Whole Foods Market (740 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks) sells natural foods, organic fresh produce, full grocery, prepared foods, etc. Call 805.777.4730. Open 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. Another Whole Foods is coming to Riverpark in Oxnard in Summer 2013.
Maddy's Market in Calabasas closed its doors on March 1, 2013.
Green Acres Farm Market (2918 Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley) opened in 1968 and offers farm fresh produce, meat, fine wines and gourmet groceries. Call 805.526.1312.
A & F Country Market is at 4550 Olivas Park Drive in Ventura. From Thousand Oaks, take Victoria offramp from 101 south to Olivas Park and make a right. Store is on your left. Nice stop on your way to/from the Olivas Adobe and Ventura Harbor Village. Phone is 805.644.5470.

Conejo Joe, I just read on VCStar they operate from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays, Regal Cinemas / Civic Center Plaza, 2750 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley (805-643-6458)
You should update your list. The Oak Park FM, moved from that location & then closed a over a year ago.

Any of these farmer's markets sell grass-fed beef?
Mehul that I don't know specifically. Best to contact or visit the individual farmers' markets. I suspect you'd find some of that at the stores though. Most of what I see at the markets are product and some baked items, tamales, flowers, etc. But ya never know!
