6th Annual Santa Monica Mountains Science Festival in Agoura on Saturday, April 25th

The 6th Annual Santa Monica Mountains Science Festival, sponsored by the National Park Service in partnership with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, the Children's Nature Institute, Santa Monica Mountains Fund, UCLA LA Kretz Center for CA Conservation Science, and NatureBridge. will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10 am to 4 pm at Paramount Ranch.

There are activities for people of all ages, including talks, hands-on demonstrations, nature walks, family activities, live animal displays, and a chance to meet and talk with the scientists. Food vendors will be on site.

Come out and explore the natural and cultural resources within the Santa Monica Mountains and learn about the scientific research that helps us all better understand and protect those resources!

2015 Ride 2 Recovery Honor Ride in Westlake Village on Saturday, March 28th

Ride 2 Recovery is produced by the Fitness Challenge, a 501(c)3 in partnership with the Military and VA Volunteer Service Office to benefit mental and physical rehabilitation programs for our country’s wounded veterans and healing heroes that features cycling as the core activity.

In its 4th year for Ride 2 Recovery, the Honor Ride on Saturday, March 28, 2015. This year there will be two separate rides running concurrently from 2815 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village:

Nicknamed the Circle of Death, the 1st Annual Bear Claw (7 Canyon Climb) will see the riders travel up and down 103 miles clockwise through the beautiful, scenic Santa Monica Mountains. By the time the riders finish, they will have ascended 12,000 ft. over some of the toughest, steepest, and most infamous climbs. The 7 devils include the Decker PCH, Little Sycamore, Deer Creek, Potrero, Hidden Valley, Westlake Decker and Latigo. 

Formerly the Honor Ride Agoura Hills, The Honor Ride Los Angeles will be a beautiful ride through Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks with rest stops and lunch post-race.  Bring family and friends out for this 25 mile ride on bike-friendly streets. There will also be an intermediate 55 mile route.

2nd Annual 5K/10K Run to Cure Brain Cancer in Camarillo on Saturday, June 6th

The Camarillo Kiwanis Club is hosting the 2nd Annual Joggin' for the Noggin' 5K/10K Run to Cure Brain Cancer at Pleasant Valley Fields, 152 Westpark Court, Camarillo on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Flat course along the Calleguas Creek Bike Path. 5K starts at 7:30 am and 10K starts at 8 am.  Proceeds from event to benefit the UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program. 3rd Annual Santa Paula Police Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 9th

The 3rd Annual Santa Paula Police Memorial 5K Run/Walk is planned for 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Santa Paula Train Depot, 963 E. Santa Barbara Street.

All net proceeds from the race will go to benefit the families of members of Santa Paula Police Department whose lives were lost in the line of duty.

The Hope Run 10K, 5K and 1K Kid Run at Ventura Promenade on Saturday, May 16

The inaugural The Hope Run 2015 10K, 5K, and 1K Kid Run will take place on Saturday, May 16 at the Ventura Beach Promenade. 750 Harbor Boulevard, Ventura. The goal of the race is to raise money and awareness for cancer research and patient services. Race entry includes a T-shirt, raffle ticket and post-race refreshments.
