The 17th Annual Arbor/Earth Day on Saturday, April 5th from 11 am to 4 pm at Conejo Creek Park, 1379 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks is a free community event presented by the City of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District. The Ventura Heart Walk is a wonderful way for individuals, friends, families, companies and employees to team up with the American Heart/Stroke Association’s fight against heart disease and stroke. The goal of this 5K walk along the beach on April 26, 2014 in Ventura is to raise $125,000 to support research in cardiovascular disease and stroke, as well as educational programs.

The 24th Annual Heart and Sole Run 5K, 10K and Kids 1K Fun Run is planned for Saturday, February 1, 2014. Events to start at 8 am. Race to be held at First Baptist Church, 930 Grand Avenue, Ojai.
Both the 5K and the 10K begin under a shady valley oak. The shorter course winds its way through quiet, pleasant neighborhood streets.With a view of the mountains, participants will be able to walk or run on a relatively flat terrain and will loop back to the start. The 10K proceeds out to the east end of the Ojai Valley and its many orchards of olive, avocado and citrus. The fragrance of the orange blossoms, the stunning view of the Topa Topa Mountains and the historic rock walls are all part of this scenic 10K.

The Westlake Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk and Run is planned for Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Westlake Village City Hall. There is a 5K, 10K and Kids 1K Fun Run. Pancreatic Cancer Research Walks are a great way to increase funding for research and raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. Lustgarten Foundation walks serve as a wonderful celebration of the progress being made in the fight against this disease, and your important participation provides hope for the future. The Autism Society of Ventura County is excited to host its 2nd Annual charity race “Aut2Run!” at California State University Channel Islands on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Celebrate the festive holiday season with Southern California’s finest at The Malibu Country Mart, California’s premier retail center. The shopping destination will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with a stately decorated Christmas tree, charming ornaments, and plenty of twinkling lights. The Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks Sunrise is hosting the Dance for Drew benefit concert on Friday, December 13th at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks in honor of Drew Perez.
