Art is Our Passion provides art instruction for all ages and interests. Instructors are practicing artists or are involved in formalized training towards a degree. Classes are ongoing, meaning you can start at any time with a particular program that can be tailored to each student's experience and individual interest in art.  Progress in each program is charted by completion of a defined list of projects that each student has access to. Programs includes fine arts (basic, specialized and advanced), digital arts illustration and summer camps.  Ages 5 through adult.

Art Trek in Newbury Park

Art Trek, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization designed to bring visual, performing and literary arts to people of all ages. Art Trek provides art training to parents and teachers, after school programs, teen programs, summer camps, studio workshops and more. It has been active since 1992 and was established as a not-for-profit in 2006.

Studio 316 Fine Art School & Studio in Newbury Park

Studio 316 is a fine art school & studio located at 2697 Lavery Ct, Unit 6, Newbury Park. Studio 316's founder has instructed fine art to children, teens and adults at over 12 studios prior to going out on his own.

Building a comfortable environment for the students here has been a goal from the very beginning. After having taught in both loose and regimented programs, Studio 316 offers its students more freedom to choose in their artistic direction, but not to their detriment either. While students may choose a medium and subject matter to explore and create, Studio 316 stresses the basics in drawing, tone and color at the same time.

Currently Studio 316 instructs drawing and painting to children ages 8+, teens, and adults. Mediums covered but not limited to are; graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting.

Camarillo Art Center

The Camarillo Art Center is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization which promotes interest in a broad range of visual art forms. The CAC maintains an art gallery for local artists and art students to present their work to the public. CAC also develops various programs, sponsors classes and houses an art library to foster art education.

Located at 3150 Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo, the gallery is open for viewing 1-4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Located in Newbury Park, Studio 17 provides art instruction to children and adults with special needs. Local artist Mary Abraham opened the studio and is an educator, artist and parent of a child with autism; she brings a special understanding of how to teach the arts to students with special needs.

For Art's Sake offers fine art classes exclusively in oil painting. While other methodologies dictate that students must graduate through training in other skills and mediums prior to working with oils, For Art's Sake's philosophy is that all the required skills can be effectively taught as part of the process. Students learn basic to advanced techniques in drawing, composition, color harmony and mixing theories.  Oils are a wonderfully flexible and forgiving medium for artists of any skill level to explore with unique potential for growth and advancement.

Vita Art Center is an educational non-profit that provides high-quality enrichment experiences in the visual arts for children, teens, and adults. Classes are taught by professional artists and instructors who design fun, challenging and educational projects and a variety of media and subject-matter is offered, with plenty of classes to choose from.
