Discovery Center Teens - Service Club (Grades 8 to 12)

Discovery Center Teens is a club that meets monthly to explore science/technology career options. In addition, DC Teens help to staff programs for younger kids and the broader community that explore science and technology in fun and interesting ways.

DC Teens learn leadership skills through organizational work and event planning, and earn community service credit for volunteer hours.

The DC Teens are part of The Discovery Center for Science and Technology, an educational non-profit organization with a mission to make science and related subjects understandable and fun. The goal of the Discovery Center is to build a hands-on science museum in the Thousand Oaks community for people of all ages.

In summary: Community service credits, Meet other like-minded teens in the area, develop leadership abilities and experience, learn science, help your community, have new experiences, learn new skills and be part of building a museum.

Meetings are held at The Goebel Senior Center, located at 1385 East Janss Road in Thousand Oaks.
