The YMCA got its start on September 30, 1887 with a house that was purchased on the corner of Santa Clara and Oak Street. Today, the Ventura Family YMCA has grown with an expansive 6,000 facility members and provides childcare to over 200 children in its after-school programs. The City of Ventura’s Aquatic Center is located at Ventura Community Park, 901 S. Kimball, at Telephone Road. This is a beautiful state of the art facility, containing a 50 meter competition pool with two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving stands, a 25 meter recreational pool, a water playground pool and two water slides. Pools are heated to about 80 degrees!
The facility has dressing room areas and picnic areas, and offers lessons, classes, group rates and birthday parties.

The Ventura County Fusion is the first ever professional soccer franchise from the Ventura County Area.
