The list goes on and on...and now that I've done this work, I find there is a website dedicated to celebrity Tweeters at www.celebritytweet.com!

PRIOR POST FROM 1/09: By now, most of you have probably heard of Twitter. If not, it is a free service that allows you to send short, 140 character messages (referred to as "tweets") to your Twitter account that allows other to see what's going on in your head. Twitter allows you to send these short messages either on your Twitter page or via text message from your cell phone.

I have been pushing off registering for Twitter for a long time because frankly I thought it sounded pretty lame. Why would I care what a bunch of random people feel like saying in 140 characters. But it has really gained in popularity as a communication tool as it enables people to communicate to thousands of people via text message.

Twitter allows you to be a "fly on the wall" to see what's going on with someone (if they choose to Tweet this information out to the public). Here are some Twitter sites of well known people:

http://twitter.com/BarackObama (looks like he stopped posting on Election Day)

http://twitter.com/JohnMcCain2008

http://twitter.com/britneyspears

http://twitter.com/vcstar(Ventura County Star)

http://twitter.com/lancearmstrong

http://twitter.com/THE_REAL_SHAQ

So if this sounds interesting, check it out at www.twitter.com.
