2018 Butterflies Alive! Exhibit at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sept 22 to Oct 14


The popular Butterflies Alive! exhibit in the new Butterfly Pavilion at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History will run from Saturday, September 22 to Sunday, October 14, 2018 and will be open daily from Noon-4:00 PM when the butterflies are most active. The exhibit is free with paid Museum admission.

Guests will be able to walk through a tranquil garden filled with butterfly-friendly plants and beautiful native landscaping while nearly 1,000 live butterflies flutter freely around them. The exhibit will feature butterflies of varying shapes, sizes, and colors including Red Admiral, Painted Lady, Mourning Cloak, and Gulf Fritillary, all species found in Santa Barbara County.

Starting in 2019, the Butterflies Alive! exhibit will be open every summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day!

Museum Members free; Adults (18-64) $12; Seniors (65+) $8; Teens (13-17) $8; Children (2-12 ) $7; Child. Under age 2 is free.
