Young Artists Ensemble announces its 38th Annual Family Theatre Season: The Season of Unexpected Magic. November opens the season with the fun and feisty fairytale musical, Once Upon A Mattress. Next, audiences journey across the universe and see the magic in the mundane with The Little Prince in February. In May the young actors take us to Edwardian London where a spoonful of sugar and measure of magic help a dour family find joy in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, Jr.
Once Upon A Mattress will warm hearts and tickle funny bones, as the audience cheers for an untraditional princess from the swamp as she tosses and turns all night because of one little pea. Will the whole kingdom find their happily-ever-after in the morning? This raucous irreverent retelling of the story of the Princess and the Pea performs November 2 – 18, 2018.
The Little Prince is the beautiful and lyrical story, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, about a little boy who finds magic in everyone and everything he encounters throughout the universe - from a single rose, to a wild fox, to a stranded pilot. THE LITTLE PRINCE will perform February 1 – 17, 2019. An additional final weekend includes performance by CONEJO THEATRE FOR EVERYONE.
Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, Jr. brings a new nanny with a twinkle in her eye and medicine for anything that ails to the Banks Family. Can she help them find their way back to each other? Perhaps she can, with the help of a chimney sweep and a host of family joy. Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s MARY POPPINS, JR. is the third and final production in Young Artists Ensemble’s 38th Annual Family Theatre Season and is presented May 3 – 19, 2019.
Season tickets are available for all three shows starting at only $30 for adults, children, students and seniors for the Super Discount Friday performances on the second or third Fridays of each production, or tailor your season for $39 adults and $33 children, students and seniors.
