Backstage at SPTC continues its wildly successful event, FULL DISCLOSURE.  Produced in conjunction with Surprisingly Good Productions, a personal video biography service, Full Disclosure is a bi-monthly storytelling event where local residents get the opportunity to share true stories from their lives in a casual evening that includes storytelling, live music and projections.  Modeled after other popular storytelling events like “The Moth” and “Mortified Nation”, each evening will be curated by a different producer with a different topic, which insures variety, diversity and rotating formats.  Each evening is designed to amuse, surprise and emotionally move audience members.  Shows have been selling out, so reservations are highly recommended.

Our next production is scheduled for May 6 and is titled “JR. HIGH” Curated by Leticia Mattson, the evening will feature six short stories inspired by those impressionable Jr. High years.   Some of the storytellers have professional experience, and some are stepping on stage for the first time to share their true stories. Refreshments will be available prior and at intermission the performance.

The Santa Paula Theater Center has been providing first class local theater experiences to Ventura County since 1985. Each season SPTC produces five plays on our Main Stage that engage and entertain our audiences.  An in-house company produces plays, events, and classes on our Backstage providing a venue for a wide range of alternative theater heightened by a more intimate setting.
