The Annual Obon Festival, "A Gathering of Joy" will take place at the Oxnard Buddhist Temple, 250 South "H" Street, Oxnard on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1 pm to 8 pm. The 2026 Ventura County Fair will take place July 29 to August 9 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Boulevard in Ventura.
The fair features arts, crafts, food, exhibits, displays, demonstrations, farm animals, petting zoo, carnival rides, games and entertainment. More information at www.VenturaCountyFair.org.

Regular admission: Ages 13-64 TBA, Ages 6-12 TBA, Ages 65+ TBA, Ages 0-5 free (DISCOUNTED TICKETS AVAILABLE ONLINE FROM 5/26 TO 6/30).
Parking at the Ventura County Fair is $20.00 per car. Parking at the Fairgrounds is limited. Free shuttle buses are provided from the Ventura Government Center, Pacific View Mall, Ventura Community Park, Ventura High School and San Buenaventura State Beach (with $10 parking fee). Fair hours are 12pm to 11pm daily. Early opening time on August 4 only is 11am.

Thursday, August 6 – Community Heroes Day - All teachers, military, police, fire and EMS personnel with current, valid ID and first responders admitted free.
Friday, August 7 - Food Share Day - Bring 5 non-perishable items to donate and receive a same-day BOGO offer on admission.

Flying U Rodeo will be back on Friday through Sunday, August 7th (7pm), 8th (2pm and 7pm) and 9th (2pm and 7pm). Ages 13+ $11.45. Children 3-12 $9.29 (lap children do not require ticket). Rodeo tickets are in addition to fair admission. Tickets on sale at vcfair.org.
Concerts at the Plaza is a free Saturday evening concert series at the Simi Civic Center Plaza on Tapo Canyon Road off the 118 in Simi Valley, in the Regal Cinema Plaza Food Court. Concerts run from 6-9pm. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show.

We Crawl This Town- So Cal 5k and Beer Mile Relay is planned for June 13, 2026 at 3841 Mission Oaks Boulevard, Camarillo at 8 a.m.
Starting with the widely popular beer send off toast (21+ runners only), you will embark on a fast and flat course starting and finishing from Institution Ale Company in Camarillo. Along the way you will run a significant portion of your race on the beautiful bike path over looking the Calleguas Creek before ultimately finishing back at the brewery and joining a beer sampling event and live music.
If running the 5K, be sure to stick around for the beer 1 mile relays where teams go head to head in a one of a kind race format.

The City of Santa Barbara is hosting its annual Independence Day fireworks display beginning at 9pm on Saturday, July 4, 2026 off West Beach.
From noon to 8:45pm there will be live music at the West Beach bandstand. From 11am to 9pm, enjoy food and vendor booths on the Cabrillo Boulevard Sidewalk at West Beach.
