Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship Open House in Newbury Park on Saturday, April 29th

Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship will be holding an Open House on Saturday April 29th to give the community an opportunity to learn more about the services that it offers to children and adults with special needs. This fun, family orientated day will include demonstrations by our talented students highlighting the programs that Ride On provides including therapeutic riding and therapy services – physical, speech and occupational therapy on horseback. There will be plenty of entertainment, vendors and fun activities for children including stick horse crafts, jolly jump, pony petting, 4H animals, face and hair painting and a horseshoe hunt.

Laura Numeroff, a New York Times bestselling author will also be attending the event and will be signing her book - Ponyella. Laura is most well known for her “If You Give” series. Her first book, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”, was published in 1985, and is still well loved. Laura's three passions are helping children with disabilities, books, and horses! "I don't think Ponyella could be any more appropriate for this venue!” Laura told us. "I'm so honored to be a part of this absolutely, wonderful experience. I can't wait to meet everyone!"

There will also be staff and board members on hand to talk about volunteer and involvement opportunities. The Open House will also recognize our support from the community, our partnership with Conejo Recreation and Park District and our 100,000 lesson milestone. The event will be held at 401 Ronel Court, Newbury Park between 10am – 2pm. Lunch will be served between 11.30am and 1pm, the event is free and public are encouraged to attend.
