Bananas are tops at the 6th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival, Saturday, September 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Festival guests will enjoy a variety of delicious foods, including BBQ, empanadas, gourmet grilled cheese, sushi burritos, shaved ice, banana splits (of course!), banana beignets and more. Each food vendor will offer at least one unique banana dish.
The festival also features live bands, beer & margaritas, arts and crafts vendors, and kids’ crafts and activities. Free tours of the Port are available that highlight 80 years as Ventura County’s only working port. Visitors will also have an opportunity to learn more about the Port’s history, customers, imports/exports and environmental contributions at the Festival’s Port Pavilion. The Festival is located on the Port of Hueneme, with the entrance at the corner of Surfside Drive & Market Street. Free admission and parking at the beach lots.
