Field Hockey Federation (FHF) is a Southern California organization that has sponsored and organized field hockey clubs and leagues, public and private school field hockey programs, and adult programs to pursue the sport of field hockey. It has long supported US Field Hockey, the USA national organization, with a steady supply of men and women field hockey players for the US Jr. and Senior National Teams. This organization also supports and provides fields and facilities for the California Cup Tournament, one of the largest in the USA which draws international, ranked club teams. It cooperates with other US field hockey organizations to further the sport of field hockey in the USA.
Local clubs include the Bulldogs (Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Newbury Park), Coyotes (Moorpark), Roadrunners (Ventura, Camarillo, Somis), and Eagles (Simi Valley, SF Valley and West Los Angeles).

CLUBWAKA® is the new name for the World Adult Kickball Association® - the preeminent adult kickball organization and the world authority and governing body of kickball. CLUBWAKA kickball is real fun for real people. The average CLUBWAKA Kickball player is a young professional (21+). Leagues are co-ed and play is like the elementary school game you remember – the one with the big red playground ball. It's an easy game that is open to all skill levels.

Thousand Oaks, Region 9 AYSO, has a winter adult league for the purpose of giving adults the same opportunity as the youth of our community to learn and enjoy the game of soccer. This is NOT a competitive league, and standings are not kept. Those looking for competition and hard play will not find this league to meet their needs, but those who just want a chance to play the game in a safe and fun environment will get exactly that.
The league is open to everyone who is 19 years of age and older. It is a coed league that follows all of the philosophies of the youth league. It is open to all ages (19 and up) regardless of skills and/or experience. The only requirement is that you come out to have some fun!

On a related note, why do they call 3 strikes in a row a "turkey" in bowling? According to www.bowl.com, the term "turkey" dates back to before the turn of the 20th century, when it was much more challenging bowling strikes. During Thanksgiving or Christmas week, bowling alley owners would often award a live turkey to the first person on a team to score 3 strikes in a row.
The Ventura County Fusion is the first ever professional soccer franchise from the Ventura County Area. Founded in 2006, the team plays in the Men’s United Soccer League (USL) Premier Development League (PDL). The Fusion also has its own Youth Academy, while also providing community soccer programs for players at all levels and needs, including soccer schools, soccer camps, free soccer clinics, and youth soccer tournaments.

Los Padres Ski Club is the oldest local year-round ski club in the area, founded in 1937. This active organization usually plans at least 5 trips to Mammoth each year and at least two out of state trips.
