Since 2011, Ventura Spirits has been striving to hand-craft adventurous spirits that blend the wild and cultivated together. Inspired by the regional liquor-making tradition, the distillery's explorers take their California coastal influences to create something new. With a handful of fruits of their labors, they delight their visitors with such varietals as "Opuntia," which is a prickly pear spirit made from the fruit of the Nopal cactus and blends the taste of tequila and sun-ripened California fruits. To feel like hiking in the mountains of the central coast, clients just need to try "Wilder," which fuses native plants such as sagebrush, purple sage, and pixie mandarin peel to produce fresh and savory aromas that give its own unique spin on gin.
