Here is the latest "East County Sheriff Watch" alert from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. This program is designed to target unincorporated neighborhoods in the area, such as Oak Park, Bell Canyon, Lynn Ranch, Casa Conejo and Lake Sherwood. Hello to all! Well, spring is in full force, even though it almost feels like it is still winter. As June approaches, remember that school will soon be out for the summer. With that in mind, be aware of the kids out and about in our communities.
The last couple weeks have been good, as there has been a decrease in criminal activity. This in part to two recent incidents that led to arrests.
In your local areas, here is a quick rundown of recent incidents:
Casa Conejo: 500 Block of Jenny Drive, Robbery occurred, Subjects Arrested (Media Release), 3100 Block of Theresa Drive, Vandalism, Gang Graffiti on wooden fence, Wendy Drive and Michael Drive, Vandalism, Graffiti in the storm drain wash area.
Kelly Estates: 200 Block of Edwards Road, Residential Burglary, forced entry.
Oak Park: 4800 Block La Vella Drive, theft from side of residence; 1000 Block of Kanan Road, Medea Creek Middle School, Kanan Road and Doubletree Road, Deerhill and Poppyview Road, Brookside Elementary School, Oak Park Plaza, Vandalism, graffiti; 100 Block of Symphony Lane, Vehicle Vandalism; Church of the Epihany, 5400 Block of Churchwood Drive, Vehicle Burglary; 6600 block of Tamarind, Residential Burglary, Open Garage Burglaries.
