The Thousand Oaks Personal Computer Club (TOPCC) is the oldest and most respected organization of its type in Ventura County. The club is comprised of people from all walks of life with one thing in common, an interest in technology and in the hardware and software of personal computers. Members' knowledge level varies from the novice to the expert.
The TOPCC consists of three groups, the Computer Club, The Photo Group and the Video Group. Membership includes your ability to attend any group meeting or workshop.
Computer Club meetings are held in the Goebel Senior Center in Thousand Oaks on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. In November the meeting is held on the third Thursday of the month, and in December we have our holiday potluck and closed auction.
The TOPCC Photo Group is for members specifically interested in digital photography. Photo Group meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Thousand Oaks Library. However, check the website (www.topcc.org/photo) as dates may change due to other library commitments.
The TOPCC Video Makers is for those interested in creating videos using the latest digital technology. The group meets on the third Monday of the month at the Goebel Senior Center to share and learn about video-making skills.
Free Technical Support is available from many TOPCC members. Their names and contact information can be found on the Nibbles & Bytes, our Computer Club Newsletter.
TOPCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; club dues and donations are tax-deductible. As of February 2011, annual membership dues are $30 per person or $40 per household. Members receive a monthly newsletter, free access to a Technical Assistance Help Line and access to the photo and video interest group meetings. Members are eligible for field trips, contests, picnics, workshops and other activities. Guests are also welcome to stop by and check out up to 2 meetings for free!
