CDC Healthy Swimming Contest Video Finalists Announced - Voting is July 18-22

Last month we posted information about the CDC Healthy Swimming 2011 Video Contest with submissions due July 4th. The CDC received 49 submissions and selected these 5 finalists up for public vote between July 18 and July 22. The contest rules were:

Videos must be 60 seconds or less and must contain the following messages:

  • Protect yourself and other swimmers from recreational water illness (RWIs)—illnesses caused by germs that are found in places where we swim.
  • Chlorine does not kill all germs instantly.
  • Never swim when you have diarrhea.
  • When swimming, keep water out of your mouth.

The finalists are quite clever and amusing. Check them out below and make sure to vote for your favorite at http://healthyswimming.challenge.gov/submissions. The winner will receive $1,000.
