2nd Annual Independence Day Classic Show at Miller Family YMCA in Newbury Park

The Miller Family YMCA in Newbury Park is hosting its 2nd Annual Independence Day 5K, Classic Car Show and Community Parade on July 4th! This is a family friendly event with a course that rolls through the beautiful community of Dos Vientos Ranch.

Schedule of Events: 7:30am 5K Race Start, 7:30 am Classic Car Show, 7:30am Pancake Breakfast 8:00am Kids Fun Zone, 9:00 am Community Parade/Live Entertainment. Early packet pickup on July 3rd at Road Runner Sports.

Free Movies at the Park at Dos Vientos Community Center on June 15 and July 20

The Conejo Recreation and Park District hosts free summer Movies at the Park at DOS VIENTOS COMMUNITY CENTER, 4801 Borchard Road, Newbury Park on Friday, June 15, 2012 ("Lion King") and Friday, July 20, 2012 ("How to Train Your Dragon") from 7pm to 10pm!

3rd Annual Conejo Valley Halloween Mud Run on Sunday, October 28th

The 3rd Annual Conejo Valley Halloween Mud Run 5K and 10K takes place on Sunday, October 28th at Dos Vientos Community Park, 4801 Borchard Road, Newbury Park. This event is for families and competitors looking for a challenge...and aren't afraid of a little mud! The courses feature mud pits, slides, hay bales and various obstacles...climbs, crawls and tunnels. First wave will start at 9 a.m.  Plan to get a messy. Proceeds from this event support the Thousand Oaks Teen Center.

The 5K stays mostly on park grounds and is best for families. The 10K veers off into adjacent neighborhoods. Both courses share the obstacle course! Visit www.gomudrun.com to learn more and to sign up!

Care and Compassion 5K/1K Fun Run in Newbury Park on Saturday, July 21st
