Historian and Reagan Biographer to Speak at Reagan Ranch Center on May 31st

Historian to share insights on the U.S. ENTRY INTO WORLD WAR II

Historian and Reagan Biographer Craig Shirley to speak at the Reagan Ranch Center on his new book December 1941: 31 Days that Changed America and Saved the World.

On Thursday, May 31, 2012, best-selling author Craig Shirley will sign copies of his new book, December 1941: 31 Days that Changed America and Saved the World, at a wine and cheese reception at the Reagan Ranch Center.  The reception will be held from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm with books available for purchase.

Mr. Shirley will make remarks and sign copies of his book during the reception. The cost to attend the reception is $15 (Students free) and RSVP is required.  To RSVP, please call Meredith Deferville at 805-957-1980. Tales at the Ranch Series at Camarillo Ranch House May 16 to August 15

The Camarillo Ranch Foundation is pleased to present the following "Tales at the Ranch" Series for 2012. Each program will be on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 P.M. at the Ranch, 201 Camarillo Ranch Rd., Camarillo.  For info visit www.camarilloranch.org or call 805 389-8182.  $5 to non-members; free to CRF members.

June 20-Ron Fischer
As author of "Barns of Ventura County," Ron Fischer will discuss the architecture, uses and ownership of various barns throughout the county.  Special attention will be given to the Camarillo Ranch Barn.

July 18-Camarillo White Horses
The Camarillo White Horse Association along with their beautiful White Horses will be visiting the Ranch.  Hear the latest news about the young colts and fillies.  Enjoy seeing the majestic animals at their ancestral home.

August 15-Master Gardeners and Ice Cream Social
Tour the lovely Camarillo Ranch gardens with the Master Gardeners.  Discussion will include succulents, native plants and the hummingbird and butterfly gardens.  Afterwards enjoy a dish of ice cream and the ambiance of a summer night at the Ranch.

Discover Ventura County’s local authors each month! Meet them in person as they discuss their story, their books, writing processes, and publishing.
