32nd Annual Malibu Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off, Carnival and Fair August 30 to September 2

The 32nd Anniversary Malibu Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off, Carnival and Fair takes place on Labor Day weekend, August 30th to September 2nd at Civic Center Way and Stuart Ranch Road. Hours are 6-10pm on Friday, 11am-10pm Saturday/Sunday and 11am-6pm on Monday.

Event features chili, carnival, fair, live entertainment, silent auction, food for sale, vendors, etc. Entry fee in 2012 was $10 per person per day, $5 for children 5-11 years old, free to kids under 5. A Four Day Event Pass gains entry for 2 people each of the four days of the event. 138th Annual Ventura County Fair "Boots, Barns and Banjos" July 31 to August 11

The 138th Ventura County Fair, themed "Boots, Barns and Banjos" will be held July 31st through August 11th at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Boulevard in Ventura.

The fair features arts, crafts, food, exhibits, displays, demonstrations, farm animals, petting zoo, carnival rides, games and entertainment. More info at www.VenturaCountyFair.org.

General Admission Prices: Adults 13 & older $12.00, Children 6-12 $9.00, Seniors 62 & older $9.00. Children 5 & under and Super Seniors (100 years & older) admitted free. 

Carnival Midway - Rides take 4 tickets or more. Prices TBA.

FAIR HOURS: The Fair will open at 11:00 a.m. daily except Saturdays, Sundays and Seniors & Persons with Disabilities Day when it will open at 10:00 a.m. Exhibits close at 10:00 pm; Commercial exhibits open until 11:00 pm on Saturday & Sunday ONLY. Admissions taken until 10 p.m. Fair closes at 11 p.m. Carnival closes between 11pm and midnight.
