The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley will hold their 14th Annual ‘Stand Up for Kids’ Gala Dinner & Auction on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village.
The annual Gala Dinner & Auction is the largest fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley. Evening highlights include a silent & live auction, gourmet dining, entertainment, and dancing. The Gala helps support over 4,000 children in quality before and after school programs, sport leagues and summer camps.
This year’s co-event sponsors are Morton Capital Management and Dr. Richard Grossman Community Foundation. Michelle Patterson, CEO of Women Network LLC will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Event Honoree this year is John L. Notter and Mark Bagaason will receive the Cal Johnston Service Award. Notter is being recognized for his strong support and generous financial contribution he made to the Boys & Girls Clubs this past year. Bagaason has been an integral part of the Boys & Girls Clubs having served two years as Board Chairman, serving as a committee chair and leading a successful Golf Tournament.
About the Event Honorees
John Notter is current Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ludwig Cancer Research as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, plus serving as Chairman for the foundation’s Finance & Investment Committee. Notter is an international financier & developer who has manages a wide variety of companies including Westlake Properties, Inc., Sailview Associates, Inc. of Westlake Village, Clark Road Development, LLC, and Sherwood Holdings LTD. of Sarasota, Florida.
Mark Bagaason joined the Board of Governors for the Boys & Girls Clubs in 2011 after a 37-year career in public accounting with the firm of Grant Thornton LLP. He has served as the chairman of the Resource Development Committee as well as Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Boys & Girls Clubs. Bagaason currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee, is a member of the finance committee and chairs the facilities committee.
