Please join us from 3pm onwards and enjoy cocktails and a silent auction.  The highlight of the evening will be therapeutic riding demonstrations performed by Ride On students and horses.  All proceeds from the event will go directly to support Ride On and the programs offered to children and adults with disabilities.

Ride On teaches therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities at two locations in Chatsworth and Newbury Park.  Therapeutic riding combines instruction in traditional horsemanship skills with concepts of physical therapy which improve the strength, balance and self esteem of individuals with disabilities.  In the past 16 years Ride On has grown to become one of the largest therapeutic riding centers in the country serving 180 disabled riders on a weekly basis.

Wag 'n Walk benefits Animal Rescue Volunteers, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of homeless and abused pets in the Simi Valley and surrounding communities.

Each year, a total of more than 190,000 beautiful companion animals are destroyed in the areas of Ventura County and Los Angeles Country. Animal Rescue Volunteers has played a vital role in assisting Animal Control Agencies to save thousands of unwanted pets- dogs, cats, and horses - before they are destroyed. Since inception, ARV has rescued and placed more than 4,400 animals into loving homes. ARV is an all volunteer organization, relying solely on private donations and foster homes to continue its work. ALL monies raised at the Wag 'n Walk go directly to benefiting homeless animals.

Wag 'n Walk is a 3 mile walk to raise funds for ARV's efforts and donations are tax deductible. There are prizes and award for top fundraisers. The event includes a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m., 3 mile walk at 8:30 a.m., doggie costume contest, search dog demo, silent auction and doggie adoptions.
