Free Upcoming Events and Programs at the Simi Valley Public Library

The Simi Valley Public Library is located at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road. The library is open 7 days a week, 10am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, 1pm to 5pm on Friday and Sunday and 10am to 5pm on Saturday. Upcoming events and activities at the library (as of 9/25/16):

Kids' Programs

Free Hands-On Workshops for kids and teens, ages 6-17 on the following Saturdays from 1-3PM. (Parents must stay in community room for participants under age 12.)

  • 10/8: Minecraft Animation
  • 11/12: 3D Printing and Modeling
  • 12/10: Game Design Using Microsoft 

Crafty Saturdays 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11:45am to 12:30pm

Teen Programs

Nov 17 3:30-5:30 - Harry Potter Escape Room - Make a Harry Potter themed craft, get sorted into your Hogwarts House and win prizes with Harry Potter Trivia.

Tues 10/18 at 4pm: Adult Crafts - Fairy Jars

Tues 11/15 at 4pm: Adult Crafts - Rock Painting

Tues 12/20 at 4pm: Adult Crafts - Paper Rose Wreaths

Family Programs

Thurs 10/13: Live Music: Groovin' to the Sounds of the 60s 6:30-7:30pm

Sat 10/22: Halloween Spook-Tacular Family Fun Day from 10am to 12:30pm. Games, crafts and special storytime. Meet and mingle with favorite storybook characters. Wear a costume!

Sat 10/22 5:30-7PM: Hallo-Extravaganza Halloween Party for Teens (must be in middle or high school to attend) - Costume contest, scary movie screening, pre-carved pumpkin contest, crafting, scavenger hunt, games and prizes.

Thurs 10/27: Halloween-themed music performed by local talent 6:30-7:30pm
