EARTHS Magnet School Community Improvement Classes - 3rd Thursday of Each Month

FREE Community Improvement Classes at EARTHS Each Month

EARTHS Magnet School Presents 1000 ways to Recycle, Re-use and Re-Purpose. Presented by the City of Thousand Oaks Environmental Program. An informative event presenting great ideas, tips and resources to help us better reduce our negative impact on our environment. Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at 7:00 PM. The whole community is invited to attend this free event at EARTHS campus, 2626 Michael Drive, Newbury Park. Please RSVP to earthsafterdark@gmail.com or call 805.498.3686 for more information. First attendees will receive a “green” gift at the door.

EARTHS will offer the community free classes on subjects ranging from conservation, green housekeeping, and innovative technologies, to enjoying the local night sky, getting to know our native flora and fauna, and comparative shopping for fuel efficient automobiles. This is the third in a series of FREE community-improvement classes offered at EARTHS on the third Thursday of each month. Mark your calendars; December 17, January 21, February 18, March 18, April 15, and May 20.

March 18th: This informative discussion by Dr. Richard Elsley (Dr. Discovery) sheds light on how to go "Green" and make our community a better place to live and  addresses the question of, "How are we affecting our planet?"
