Jazz, delicious desserts and fine wine are the winning combination for a delightful evening under the stars in Westlake Village to support the mountain lions and bobcats that roam the Santa Monica Mountains.
The Concert for the Cats on September 24th will help the Santa Monica Mountains Fund continue to support research into the big cats living in local mountains. This research helps us better understand how mountain lions and bobcats survive in an area where they are subject to rat poisons and hemmed in by freeways and suburban sprawl.
Hosting the event is jazz vocalist Julie Newsome, a long-time supporter of this research. She will be joined by National Park Service biologist Jeff Sikich who will explain the challenges these animals face for long term survival. Only 50 tickets are available for this exclusive event.
