Gold Coast Veterans Foundation 10th Annual Golf Tournament in Camarillo on October 26th

Community members, veterans, business and civic leaders are invited to participate in the 10th annual Gold Coast Veterans Foundation (GCVF), Golf Tournament and Reception in Support of Veterans. Tee time is 9:00 a.m. on October 26, 2015 at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo. GCVF, a nonprofit 501(c)3, is dedicated to helping all veterans throughout the Gold Coast of Southern California area reach their full potential as productive, independent, and responsible citizens.

GCVF is a pioneer in its approach to helping America’s servicemen and women and in 2013, it opened the first-of-its-kind Veterans Connection in Ventura County. This one-stop-shop provides veterans resource coordinators to tailor support to each veteran and their family members.  GCVF partners with many veteran service providers to improve access to programs and opportunities. These service providers work closely together to ensure veterans and their families receive the assistance they need in a community-based environment that coordinates public and private sector services for veterans.

GCVF connects veterans to the programs, services and opportunities they need as well as connecting the community to our veterans.  GCVF connects veterans through their Veterans Connection with support to local campus Veterans Resource Centers such as at Cal State University Channel Islands, support to the Veterans Home and service providers such as Turning Point Foundation and Reins of H.O.P.E through the Veterans Fund.  GCVF connects the community through an engagement plan that includes outreach activities and provides facilities and materials to the Ventura County Veterans Memorial, the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System Open House in Oxnard, the Military Retiree Town hall meeting at Naval Base Ventura County, Veterans Exhibits at local museums and the Ventura County Stand Down that assists homeless veterans. In addition, GCVF was an important partner in the establishment of a Veterans Court in Ventura County. This Court is a forward-thinking program that gives our current warriors who have difficulty transitioning back into society an opportunity to be reintegrated rather than incarcerated. Not only does this help the veteran and their family, there are tremendous benefits for our community.

GCVF is seeking businesses and individuals to sponsor the tournament through a tax-deductible monetary contribution, and by signing up to play in the tournament. Every donation helps GCVF in fulfilling its mission. All contributions to GCVF are considered a gift and are tax deductible as allowed by law (EIN 27-2105467). Information on sponsorships and tournament registration is available on the GCVF website.
