The Channel Islands Harbor celebrates the migration of the Pacific Gray Whale with the 14th Annual “Celebration of the Whales.” See a sight you'll never forget . . . View these magnificent mammals of the deep as the Pacific Gray Whale migrates through the waters of the Santa Barbara Channel on their way to the lagoons of Mexico. Whale watching excursions to the Channel Islands National Park are offered daily from Channel Islands Harbor . Island Packers offers half-day trips from December 26 through April 10th. The 14th Annual Celebration of the Whales Festival takes place on Sunday, March 21st from 10am to 5pm on Harbor Boulevard, near the Marine Emporium Landing Channel Islands Harbor Farmers & Fishermen’s Market in conjunction with the Channel Islands Harbor celebrates the migration of the Pacific Grey Whales. This annual celebration is a popular event for both locals and visitors alike. Admission to the festival is free. The harborside event will feature live entertainment, an arts & crafts market, children’s activities, whales and marine education exhibits, BBQ and food booths and a certified Farmers & Fishermen’s Market.
