Four Seasons Westlake Village Showcases Reagan-Themed Christmas Tree

FOUR SEASONS HOTEL WESTLAKE VILLAGE SHOWCASES REAGAN-THEMED TREE IN ANTICIPATION OF CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION IN 2011.
Reagan tree part of “An American Christmas” exhibit at Reagan Library

The holiday tree in the lobby at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village takes on an historic flair this season with a festive, Ronald Reagan-theme to honor and commemorate the 100th birthday of our 40th President.  In anticipation of the Centennial year in 2011, the Reagan Library generously adorned the stately eight-foot tree with memorabilia of President Reagan’s life, from his childhood in Illinois to his acting years in Hollywood, from his service as California’s Governor to his term as President.  Symbols from President Reagan’s life that grace the tree’s branches include a Stetson hat, California and American flags, personal photos from throughout his life, replicas of vintage radios and televisions and more.

The Reagan tree is on display in the Lobby Lounge of the Hotel, alongside an enchanted Gingerbread Village created by the Hotel’s Pastry Chef David Laufer.  Both are open for guests and local residents to view at any time.  The Lobby Lounge serves breakfast and lunch daily as well as dinner Monday through Thursday evenings.

The Reagan-themed tree at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village promotes a full exhibit on display at The Reagan Library now through January 2, 2011.  Library guests are invited to take a tour through a winter wonderland featuring 24 trees decorated to celebrate the defining moments of America’s road to greatness, from the Revolutionary Era to today. Each tree reflects the life and times of American society and culture during each decade between 1700 and 2010, thus tracing the evolution of America. Through the use of lights, ornaments and decorations, each tree becomes its own piece of magnificent art. Also on display will be a collection of beautiful hand-crafted menorahs that were given to President Reagan while in the White House.
