The new LazerTag Extreme at 591-A Country Club Drive, Simi Valley in the Wood Ranch Shopping Center is anticipated to open on June 15, 2013 (the Camarillo location closed 3/18/12). This brand new facility will have a fully customized 5,000+ sq ft multi-level interactive arena, brand new laser tag equipment (I've been told much lighter than the equipment at the old location), a new arcade with redemption games, great food and the only laser maze in the area. No reservations required to play but for groups of 8 or more are recommended. Will be extremely popular for birthday parties.
Sky High Sports - The Trampoline Place, opened at 166 Aviador Street, Camarillo in October 2010. It is less than a mile west of the Target/Home Depot center. Located in a huge, 42,000 sq ft facility, there are half a dozen areas that have trampolines on the floors and walls. This is a one of a kind place in Ventura County.
In addition to coming in to jump around, you can play dodgeball, there is a kids under 10 area with its own 2 trampoline courts and several bouncers, an arcade and more. There's also a laser tag area available for 30 minute sessions.
This quickly became one of the most popular indoor fun places in the county! Lots of birthday parties going on at this place!
As you can see, there is quite a large area of trampolines on the floors and walls. There is a separate section geared towards kids tooOn one side of Sky High is an arcade with skill-based games and on the other side is this kids' game area where you earn tickets and cash them in for prizes.
Quite popular with the younger set. Bounce off the walls into a humongous pile of foam cubes.Another extremely popular activity at Sky High is the Dodgeball area, open to players of all ages.
Some other observations:
The pizza is good!
There is a huge projection TV on the wall.
Free WiFi in the building and there was a separate "sanity" room for adults with a number of TVs.

Big Z Family Fun Center and Restaurant at 2428 Stearns Street, Simi Valley has homemade pizzas, appetizers, salads, pasta and more! Big Z's is over 5,000 feet and has over 50+ arcade games, many of which you win tickets to cash in for prizes (a la Chuck E Cheese). Great place to throw birthday parties, team parties, etc. More information at www.bigzsimi.com or 805.526.3000.
We ordered pizza and spaghetti and meatballs and I'll have to say...the food was really good! I was pleasantly surprised at both the quality and portions of the food. I was expecting a Chuck E Cheese type pizza but this one really tasted good. The kids gobbled up pizza then ran off to play games. Big Z is 20 to 25 miles from the Conejo Valley as it is located in the eastern-most part of Simi Valley. It is next to the Brunswick Zone Bowling Alley.
The Ventura Village Carousel and Arcade at Ventura Harbor Villagemake for quite an entertaining time and a great place for celebrating a birthday - a 2 hour private party room rental with hot dogs, soda, 36 horse carousel and arcade access and prizes is $10.50 per person (minimum 6 people) or $11.50 for pizza (prices current as of Feb 2012).
Or just stop by with the kids on a day at Ventura Harbor Village, stopping by The Parlor (805.658.2837) for burgers, hot dogs and delicious onion rings (our experience today!), grab an ice cream, check out the boats, try a whale watching expedition, etc etc. We love this place and it never seems too crowded. Well I decided to list this here because you never know when you might want to play some arcade games while shopping at The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks. The beautiful Muvico Theater at The Oaks among many other things has a nice little arcade with about a dozen or so games, including some hoop shooting, pinball machine, air hockey, Guitar Hero and other games. As of January 2012 most games were 50 cents to play. You don't necessarily have to watch a movie to visit the arcade, though that of course would be cool to do too :> More on this Muvico theater at www.muvico.com/default.asp?t=65.
