Programs After School for Kids Art Classes is a wonderful children's art studio in Thousand Oaks. Programs After School is very different from regular kids art classes!
We are very affordable! We have our own studio so we don't pass on facility fees to our customers and we are local without the burden of out-of-state franchise fees. We believe that children should not be excluded from an art enrichment experience.
Our classes are innovative, not repetitive and dull, strongly academic with our unique hybrid of Montessori and Waldorf methods surrounding the learning of the art masters, drawing and painting techniques, and most importantly our classes are pure fun.
The children attending our classes often find themselves learning "by mistake" and they are in a warm, relax environment where they are free to take risks with their creativity.
We actively engage and connect with the children in their classes, providing a fun and stimulating experience from beginning to end and we have very low student-to-teacher ratios.
If you are looking for that uniqueness in the visual art experience you want for your kids, combined with a fun academic approach, offered by a local company popular with homeschooler associations and local schooling districts, fostering academic achievement through art, then please check out our website or call us for information. We are proudly local and our own young children are in these schooling districts - so we understand the issues facing local parents in our community. We are also providing work for local teachers and we love what we do. We offer a very wide birthday party selection from over 10 themes! What more could kids want? Our Field Trips are popular with local elementary schools and Mom’s Clubs.
Our classes for younger kids are 45 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks. For older kids (7 - 13) the classes are for one hour. We also have a fun baby class "Baby van Goo Goo and You" for 18 months to 36 months - to drool for! Apart from the baby class, our classes are drop off. You can relax and go for a stroll and some shopping around The Lakes.

Fantastic classes. My 3 year old cries when the class is over and we have to leave. I love the concept of blending all the subjects with art. My daughter can't wait for her next class every week, it's all she talks about. The "Studio" has a very friendly and calm feel. We are so happy we found this little gem and we wish them all the best. Love that it's a local business!
After having very disappointing and very expensive art classes at school with Young Rembrandts, we decided to try my daughter with this one. The two teachers Mrs. Diamond and Mrs. Goldstein are really good. She had a great experience from start to finish and I enrolled again. I really like the content. Considering a birthday party as well.
Love this kids art studio. Both my daughters have attended many classes since they opened last year and absolutely love it. Ms. Diamond and Mr, Richard have been great all the way. Very flexible when the kids are sick or we can't make the classes. Our school used Abrakadoodle which the kids didn't like at all. Hoping to get this art program into our school's enrichment. I read what they said about franchises and I agree with supporting a local business. My daughters are 7 and 11 and take the "youth" classes which are very technical. I can't believe how much they learn. The academic side really surprises me and my kids are talking about the math they learned in their Da Vinci art class. Wishing them much success!
I just had the most incredible Baby and You class! Mrs. Diamond is a fabulous teacher and the babies had sooooooo much fun - but not as much fun as I did!!

Thanks for providing your fantastic classes! I have had my boys in these classes for almost three years and they just love them. I just wanted the readers of this blog to know that this quality of education at these prices is rare. I know - I'm a teacher. Mrs. Diamond and Mr. B are really warm and accommodating and the art work and learning is incredible. My kids ask me to enroll them every session.
They are so excited about the summer camps - Marine Biology is their favorite.
These are the best kids art and science enrichment classes around.
I hope they continue to grow and they deserve kudos for providing these wonderful classes to our community.
I just had to add to this blog. My daughter attended a Silly Science class in the new studio at Northstar Plaza. She was so excited. Great positive experience every week. Mr B is an excellent science teacher.
The owners Mr B and Mrs. Diamond tell me that their business survives through word of mouth referrals and so I think its important to let everyone know about these fantastic classes to get the word out.
Apart from the fact that I couldn't find any other science classes for kids in Thousand Oaks, I feel that my daughter is getting a ton of learning and I am getting amazing value for my precious dollars.
