LazerTag Extreme in Camarillo

May 2012 Update: According to their voice message, LazerTag Extreme will be relocating to the Conejo Valley this Fall!!

March 2012 Update: ACCORDING TO THEIR WEBSITE AND PHONE MESSAGE, LAZERTAG EXTREME CLOSED ITS CAMARILLO LOCATION ON MARCH 18, 2012 BUT PLANS TO RELOCATE TO A NEW LOCATION IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

LazerTag Extreme* (1775 Daily Drive, Camarillo) has a cool laser tag arena that is 4,500 square feet. Mostly for ages 6 and up.  No reservations are required to play but for groups of 8 or more they are recommended.  This is a popular birthday joint; check out the website for detailed pricing information.  There is also an arcade and food available.

On a personal note, we have been to several kids' birthday parties at this facility including parties with 5 to 8 year olds.  Laser tag, which I also participated in, was a LOT of fun!  The equipment was a bit on the heavy side for some of the little guys but everyone enjoyed it.  One thing to note if you have really young kids is that when you play laser tag at your party, others are allowed to play too if there is room.  We had a mixture of 8 year olds through teens, down to my 5 year old playing recently. It was a little nervewracking for me with my 5 year old, but no one got hurt.

The kids love the Chuck E Cheese style arcade where you win tickets and cash them in for prizes. Of course you end up spending $20 so the kids can cash in enough tickets for a cheap toy you could buy at the 99 Cents store, but hey, they have a lot of fun doing it.

More information at www.lazertagextreme.com or call 805.388.0088.

* Formerly known as LazerStar. Ownership change in March 2010.
