The Kids Club at The Lakes meets selected Wednesday mornings at 11 a.m. Call 805.497.9861 for more information. Events are outdoors; rain generally cancels events but call first.

Events vary from puppet shows to storytellers to musicians, petting zoos, arts and crafts, etc. for preschoolers and their parents. These are outdoor events and are weather permitting. Contact The Lakes for more information at 805.497.9861 or www.shoplakes.com.

In addition to the kids club, The Lakes has a small playground area that is geared toward the younger kids, an expanse of grass and 2 beautiful lakes, waterfall, fountain, etc. This is a nice park-like setting that makes you forget the fact that you are look ing straight out at Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

One more bonus: The Lakes is next door to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, which has an outdoor courtyard with trees and paths that are fun for the kids to explore.

July 7th: Kids Club featuring Leaping Lizards at 11am. We will learn about some fascinating cold-blooded creatures when O’Grady pays us a visit! If you thought you knew everything about snakes and lizards think again.

July 14th: Kids Club featuring Twinkle Time Music at 11am. The most colorful and fun new-comer in years joins us for some high energy and infectious family music that will get everyone up and moving.

July 21st: Kids Club featuring Family Magic & Illusions at 11am. Allen has been performing magic for over fifteen years and he does classic tricks in a new way and introduces us to new tricks we have never seen. Children will even get a chance to do some magic of their own!

July 28th: Kids Club featuring Madcap Juggling and Comedy at 11am. Williams is a favorite performer all over the Southland – his show features the silliest juggling, comedy and magic you will ever see!
