Corner Bakery - Good Food at Decent Value

There are a number of things I like about Corner Bakery Cafe. Most importantly, I enjoy the food they serve there. I rarely go wrong with any of their sandwiches, salads, pastas or breakfast meals. My personal favorite salad is the Harvest Salad with chicken. This salad has green apples, toasted walnuts, blueu cheese, greens in a vinaigrette. Takes awhile to eat it but it is always satisfying. The Chopped Salad, Caesar and Asian Edaname Salads are all fine by me too. The only salad I haven't particularly liked at Corner Bakery is the Greek salad, which just didn't taste Greek enough to me.

For a light yet filling meal, try the Salad Combo, which is a decent sized salad and large cup of soup. The corn chowder is to die for...a hearty bowl of soup that was filling in and of itself. Saliva is generating in my mouth as I type this and think about that delicious corn chowder. In fact, I may go again real soon and order just one large bowl of chowder.

I've never gone wrong with the breakfasts and sandwiches at Corner Bakery and the sandwiches are delicious. For those not so much into meat, the Tomato Mozzarella hits the spot. I also like the chicken salad sandwich.

I like the value I feel I get from Corner Bakery. I don't feel taken advantage of...the food always hits the spot and I'm only out $8 to $10, including drink.

I like the low key atmosphere at CB. The location in Westlake Village at 111 S. Westlake Boulevard is somewhat small but I rarely have a problem finding a table there and it is relaxing and comfortable. Has been awhile since I've been at the Calabasas location at the Commons (4776 Commons Way).

Kids meals for only $4.29 (as of 8/10) are a great deal. They have a kids scrambler for breakfast and sandwiches, ravioli, Kraft Mac & Cheese and noodle along with dessert and drink. Another decent value.

Last but not least, the baked goods here...bundt cake, coffee cake, muffins, cookies, etc....are always fresh and too good.
