Fit 2b Thai Healthy Cuisine in Thousand Oaks

Fit 2b Thai Healthy Cuisine is located at 593 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, between Baja Fresh and El Pollo Loco (for you "old-timers," in the space previously occupied by Olga's Kitchen...I miss that place!).  My wife had me meet her and the kids tonight for dinner as they really enjoyed their previous experience at the restaurant.  Tonight's meal was consistent with the first experience.

The kids meals are a nice deal.  For $4.75 apiece they each ordered the "Chicken Little" meal; 2 large chicken skewers on a large bowl of rice.  I was impressed by the size of the meal.  This was large enough for many adults (but the meal is for kids ages 2 to 7).  I ordered a combination meal of cashew nut stir fry with tofu, with rice and a cup of soup.  It was very good and had a nice quantity of fresh vegetables.  So I definitely felt "fit" after this meal, in a tasty way!  We also ordered and enjoyed the Golden Prawn appetizer - tiger prawn and chicken wrapped in wonton paper served with a sweet sauce.  Overall the food was of a high quality.  It looked and tasted fresh!

One other thing I like about this place is the menu is pretty simple.  I get tired of long winded 15 page menus.  This one is short and sweet and easy to find something you enjoy.  The service was very good and the people there are nice.  You order at the front, take a number, and they bring you your food.

This is a family run restaurant, not a franchise, and the family who own the restaurant left the corporate world to launch the restaurant in May 2005.  For more info, visit www.fit2b-thai.com or call 805.496.2501.
